Urbanspoon - Restaurant & Food Reviews App Reviews

I relied on Urban Spoon several days a week and daily when travelling for years. Since Zomato took over Urban Spoon, the Apps functionality and useful information is gone. Very sad!! I have now deleted this App and am going to a competitors App which is still not as good as the prior Urban Spoon.

Goodbye urbanspoon. This app is worthless. I hope they go out of business.

If you want to have to create yet another account (or use your Facebook account) just to find a restaurant, this is the app for you.

You guys ruined urbanspoon. My husband and I used it all the time now Ive completely deleted it and theres not s good alternative. Bring back urbanspoon...please!

I tried using this for six months...of hell. They should have shuttered this and kept spoon alive

Its an app that you take time to download, install, load, turn on location settings, and it just tells you to download another app. The year is 2016 ladies and gentlemen.

Urban spoon used to be such a great app. Im normally not the type the puts reviews on apps, but Zomato is just so terrible I think it deserves the negative nod.

Im shocked. I loved urban spoon. Why did they switch over? I was a always on urban spoon and loved the search by menu options, even loved the shake for surprise for date nights. This new app is nothing short of...Horrid. Absolutely horrid interface. Leaves places off, not user friendly, and just a big general disappointment...

I quit using Urbanspoon after Zomato took over. That app is awful. The rating system is unexplained and so many people have dropped the app that the reviews have suffered. Sad. I used to rely heavily on Urbanspoon.

I loved contributing to urban spoon but you lost my identity in the migration, and my interest. Have not found a replacement, but am hopeful.

The app is dead. It has been replaced. Remove it from the app store.

I really miss zomato, it was almost flawless. This app is so clunky to use. It is just trying to cram too many features in. If you get past that, it still serves its purpose and has great tech support.

I loved Urban Spoon and was a loyal fan for years. It was so intuitive and easy to use. Zomato, which bought out Urban Spoon and replaced it, stinks. Its clumsy, difficult to use, and doesnt present information in an intuitive way. Instead of allowing you to filter by cuisine, it makes you select the type of meal (dinner, lunch, drinks, etc.), and then you have to wade through an extensive list of restaurants. So frustrating to use. Im deleting this and downloading Yelp.

You zomato guys are real scumbags. I loved this app. Ive been using it since the dawn of the App Store. You people twisted it into just another generic restaurant app. Now theres nothing unique about it, the iconic spinner is gone, and the app that started it all has been bricked in a sadistic forced rebranding. This is where I get off. Ride your little corporate money train off a bridge for all I care.

Urbanspoon was so much better than Zomato. Why tease and annoy by pushing an Urbanspoon app update?

Not an actual app. Its just a redirect to try and get you to load the awful Zomato app.

I just downloaded a screenshot asking me to download another app

This app was good when it existed. All it does is tell you to get the new app. This should be removed from the App Store. The new app is not nearly as cool.
