Urbanspoon - Restaurant & Food Reviews App Reviews

I used this app for a long time, very sad to see it go, would use the new app but Im not going to surrender my personal information just to find a restaurant.

I will not delete urbanspoon and use Zomatoe!!! Bring back the good app.

The original UrbanSpoon was much better than the current app. The current app makes it hard to explore places by type of food or location. The user interface is difficult to navigate. I used to use UrbanSpoon all the time, and now each time I try the new app I end up leaving the app without finding what I want.

What happened to Urbanspoon? The replacement, Zomato, has none of my reviews from Urbanspoon. Im disappointed, to put it mildly.

Urbanspoon was a great app. Zomato is awkward and useless. Its difficult to search by food type and the ratings are not anywhere near as useful as they were before. Absolutely ruined the app. Deleting for Yelp.

I used to love this app and after a year I still cant find anything better than the OLD Urban Spoon. Zomato totally screwed this up.

Fire someone.. What if I told you theres a great app for discovering nearby restaurants and dining options thats easy to use and everyone loves it. Well the sure used to be. Way to screw things up new people. If its not broke, dont fix it. Im angry with you

Why did you dump UrbanSpoon. Worked too well I guess? This steaming hunk of crap app will not locate me, so I get “show all restaurant in Detroit” or wherever I am. I get stuck in hotels all the time and like to walk to places.. but this stupid thing, which used to locate me and tell me what was close is too stupid to do it. I was standing in a Vietnamese place in New York City, right beside 2 more, and this misguided badly laid out, worthless, waste of time wanted me to go 35 blocks away to get a bowl of Pho. I cannot give it any less than 1 star… at least it manages to load. But as far as functionality I would rather let a grade schooler with ADHD blindly find me a place by flipping a coin and picking a random page in the yellow pages. Would be more reliable, and probably closer. Bring back UrbanSpoon.

This app is now complete trash. I heavily relied on urbanspoon when I moved to a new city. Removed this from my phone. Smh

Zamato to is just terrible.

Urbanspoon was great - my favorite for restaurant reviews... until Zomato took over.

This new zomato is not accurate at all, its not user friendly. I prefer urban spoon. Unfortunately they just lost a user :(

What is the point in having this on the App Store when you download it only to make users go back and download another app. Just take it off? Im not even using the other app now since you inconvenienced me.

Zomato is awful. Urbanspoon was much better, but those days are gone. This app is not worth downloading (even for free).

I used to use UrbanSpoon all of the time. It was fantastic for finding new places. Now, its awful and Ill be using a different app. So disappointing that they screwed up a good thing.

Who made the idea to change Urban Spoon should be homeless.

This new design is difficult to use, and Im tired of trying. The old urbanspoon was my go to for finding restaurants in my town and while vacationing! Not anymore. If you are going to buy a company then dont make their product worse and expect to keep people interested. I am now in search of a replacement for urbanspoon.
